Lero Lero – Form Filler

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy applies to the Free edition of Lero Lero – Form Filler, a Chrome extension for generating fictitious test data and filling web forms.

The Free edition is local-first. It does not have a backend, analytics, advertising, telemetry, account system, or AI/network integration. Data handled by the extension is processed inside the user's browser and is not transmitted to the developer or to third parties.

Data the extension handles

Website and form metadata

To detect and fill form controls, the extension can read metadata from the webpage the user is interacting with, including field type, label, name, id, placeholder, autocomplete metadata, accessibility labels, selectors, validation constraints, select options, and radio/checkbox values.

The visual Profile Editor intentionally does not capture the current text value of text inputs or textareas in its inspection snapshot. Some non-text form metadata, such as available select/radio values, can be included because it is required to configure and preview filling rules.

Current page URL

The extension uses the current page URL locally to resolve which saved profile applies to that page and to create basic origin, prefix, or exact matching rules.

It does not maintain or transmit a browsing-history database.

Settings, profiles, templates, and fixed values

The extension stores user settings and up to three Free profiles in chrome.storage.local.

Profiles may contain URL matching rules, CSS selectors, generator choices, templates, and fixed values entered by the user.

A user can choose to place personal information in a fixed value or template. If they do, that value remains local to their Chrome extension storage and is not transmitted by the Free edition.

Temporary editor state

The visual field picker and Profile Editor may keep a temporary page-inspection snapshot in chrome.storage.session.

This can include field metadata and source tab/window identifiers needed to return to or highlight the selected field. This state is temporary browser-session state and is not sent to a server.

Generated values

Generated names, addresses, identifiers, text, dates, emails, and other fictitious values are created locally.

Values inserted into a webpage are not sent to the developer and are not persisted by the extension merely because they were generated or filled.

How data is used

Data is used only to provide the extension's user-facing form-filling features, including:

The Free edition does not use handled data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, marketing, analytics, or unrelated purposes.

Data sharing and transfers

The Free edition does not sell, rent, share, or transfer handled webpage or form data, current page URLs, settings, profiles, templates, fixed values, or generated values to third parties.

The Free edition makes no network request for these features and has no server-side storage.

Retention and deletion
